(Sanskit: triviṣa; Tibetan: dug gsum) or
the three unwholesome roots
(Sanskrit: akuśala-mūla; Pāli: akusala-mūla),
in Buddhism, refer to the
three root kleshas of
ignorance, attachment, and aversion.
These three poisons are considered to be the cause of all suffering.
